Vocal virtuoso, Marty Angiulli, has collaborated with producer, musician and writer, Rick Barclay to produce his debut CD, “Faces of Christmas”, available in stores and online November 1, 2002. They have combined an eclectic variety of music from Rock and Pop to Classical & Christian, giving some traditional favorites a new twist along with originals by both artists.
Highlights of the album include a new millennium arrangement of a song that was written in the 15th century called “Personent Hodie”. With looping drumbeats underscoring a flowing “Enya” feel on top, one would never guess that this piece was composed literally centuries ago. A traditional favorite “Little Drummer Boy” becomes a drummer's paradise as a drum solo interlude plays over a pulsing marching rhythm. Original songs include “Jesus Christ is Christmas” - an up tempo feel good song characterizing what Christmas is truly about, “Oh Bethlehem” - a new approach to a traditional favorite and “Let It Snow in Paradise” - a light humored incite on celebrating Christmas in a warm weather climate.
This collection of songs showcases the powerful and versatile voice Marty possesses and is a must have in anyone's Christmas collection. The album demonstrates that this artist has studied and had extensive training in music. Marty's background includes being a tenor soloist for St. Andrew's choir in Tampa for 12 years, studying opera in Italy during the summer of 1988 and receiving his Bachelors of Music in Vocal Performance from Florida State University in 1990. A career highlight for Marty came at the opening performance of the Hard Rock Live in Orlando, where he performed the world premier of the piece “Pilot's Hymn” for honored guest and speakers, former President George Bush and his wife Barbara.
In late November and through December, Marty will be performing free live concerts in support of the CD. Log on to www.martyangiulli.com for more information
