"Edge without anger," is what Tina's debut CD has also been called. A pure yet powerful voice with honest and heartfelt lyrics. Compared to Shawn Colvin, with a hint of Eva Cassidy.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Artistically influenced by an eclectic mix of music rooted in Rock, Pop and Folk, singer/songwriter Tina Angotti is clearly her own woman. Her successful debut CD entitled Mirror is a melodically intricate and vocally startling reflection of the movements and moments of her own life.

Tina's musical journey began in her hometown of Chicago where she shaped her talents opening for her brother, Phil Angotti and his band, The Idea.

While most of the tracks are recorded with a live solo feel, when Tina rocks - it rolls. Described by a fan as "edge without anger," Tina's debut CD has also been called "uncluttered," "compelling," "powerful," "inspirational," and a "MUST HAVE for anyone's CD collection." In addition to strong sales, Mirror enjoys national and international airplay and its downloads continue to climb the charts. Featured on radio programs across the country, select tracks off of "Mirror" have been included in a variety of compilation CDs.

Besides winning many awards, including "Best Solo Female Artist," and "Outstanding Performance at NY Music and Film Festival", Tina has appeared on television and radio, performed at Madison Square Garden, and recently shared the stage with Julia Fordham at LA's House of Blues.

Perhaps the most compelling reason for Tina's success is the astounding strength and range of her pure voice, intimate and familiar to the ear but different from all the rest...

**"Stay" wins in International Songwriting Competition**

**"Stay" was named one of the Top Five songs in The SongwriterUniverse Best Song Of The Month Contest.**

**"Not Making Sense" winner in Songslounge.com songwriting contest**

**Tina wins Best Solo Female Artist in Phoenix Dream To Reality Awards**

**Tina receives Outstanding Achievement Award from the New York International Music Festival**

emotional honesty, artistic clarity and sure fire melodies.
"The sound on this album anchors itself in Tina's folky acoustic guitar rhythms and warm, inviting voice. Unlike so many contrived acts on the current scene Tina's expression is effortless.

On the title track quiet strums lay the foundation for this introspective journey. These songs are often sedated, using an intimate fingerpicking approach to make the connection. Tracks like "Not Making Sense," and "Stay," pull the listener into a deep, personal space. Other songs take a different path. "Walk with Me" ups the tempo, pushing a low frequency bassline and an undeniable invisible beat. "It's Alright" continues to burn, again without a drum kit in the mix. Then "I Feel" pulls all the stops and transforms into a full on electric rock band.

Tina's emotional honesty, artistic clarity and sure fire melodies all stir together to create beautiful music. It's true. Just look in the mirror."

Purity. Simplicity. Strength. Gentle intensity...
Purity. Simplicity. Strength. Gentle intensity. Lyrics deceptively deep. Tina Angotti's 12-song debut centers around all those ingredients featuring her gorgeous voice.

Many (if not all) of these tunes are expressions of observations from all facets of life and a straight-on look at the truth as she sees it. Considering the depth of her writing, there is a decidedly spiritual humanistic thread here that reveals quite a bit of understanding.

For pure enthusiasm, there's the up-tempo acoustic-electric "I Feel" and the all-acoustic "It's Alright" -- both driving folk rockers. The latter will put a smile on your face, in spite of the lyrics that invite you to "go ahead and feel your sadness." Tina's sometimes ferocious strumming puts out an infectious energy that makes it really hard to sit still.

Sit around (or dance around) and listen to this CD and it's almost certain you'll find you really like it.

"intimate lyrics; relaxing and pleasing to the ear"...
This features acoustic guitar and a rich sounding female voice.
The recording itself is just as rich and has certain warmth to it. The vocal
comes across as very heartfelt and the close to dry sound (you know, the
absence of reverb) makes it sound as though she is right there singing
directly to you. The vocal is strong and steady, smooth and flowing. That
approach works well and makes the intimate lyrics seem that
much more intimate. You'll find this to be very relaxing and pleasing
to the ear.
It brings to mind a romantic image of being in front of the yellow warm
glowing light of the fireplace. I can even hear this around a lonely
campfire at the end of the evening. You'll definitely want to "stay" with this one.
