Animacorda ... Cords with Anima (soul). These are the two elements that have always been served the two guitar soloists and friends Michalis Brouzos and Aris Lanarides. Those have also been the elements that defined the name and the common course thereafter.

The guitar duet Animacorda, was formed in 2002 when the friends and classical guitar soloists Aris Lanarides and Michalis Brouzos decided to link their love for music and classical guitar in live concerts, performing compositions from the Latin-American repertoire of the 20th century.

Michalis Brouzos has multi annual studies in the classical guitar. He graduated from "Peiraikos Sundesmos" conservatory acquiring certificate and diploma in classical guitar, graded unanimously excellent with distinction. At the same time he studied advanced theoretical classes and was distinguished in international Master Classes of interpretation and virtuosity. He has performed many recitals as soloist in Athens and other Greek cities as well as abroad (Stuttgart, Frankfurt). He composes music for classical guitar and stringed instruments ensembles and for Theater.

Aris Lanarides also has multi annual studies in the classical guitar and graduated from "Peiraikos Sundesmos" conservatory acquiring certificate and diploma in classical guitar, graded unanimously excellent with distinction. He attended Master Classes from international fame soloists and specialized in high pitch and 12 strings guitar from Yorgos Kertzopoulos. He has performed many recitals as a soloist and as a member of various Greek, Spanish and German orchestras. He composes music for classical guitar and stringed instruments ensembles. Recently he composed film score for short duration movies.
In 2005 Michalis and Aris recorded their first album with their own compositions that was released by Soulincident in January 2006.

From 2006, the internationally known guitarist Yorgos Bechlivanoglou, joined Animacorda.
