Album Notes

Anita Lin's predominantly country sound is not one you would assume out of someone born in Chicago. But both of her parents listened to country music as she was growing up, and something rubbed off. After four years stationed in Oklahoma for the Air Force when names like Garth Brooks, Patty Loveless, Mary Chapin Carpenter, and Wynonna were hitting the scene, Anita decided that country music was for her. She traded in her electric guitar for an acoustic and began songwriting.

Lin moved to Nashville in 2001 to pursue her songwriting and continues to make regular trips there to showcase her talent and meet with other songwriters and performers. Prompted by her fans, Lin recorded her debut CD entitled "This Book Knows", and is currently working on her sophomore project.

Really fabulous songwriting - When's the next disk coming out?!
author: Juliann Salinas
Bought these (I got 2) albums after friends and family of mine saw a Chicago showcase with Anita. They were all blown away and asked for a copy of her CD. She directed me to CD Baby, and the rest is history. It's the best disk I've bought in a long time. Soulful storytelling, words and melody that paint a picture that stays in your head all day. I can't wait until the next disk!
