A refreshing new voice in gospel has emerged! Not only does Anita Myles offer a powerful, expressive and controlled soprano, but her lyrical content is a breath of fresh air. "R U Willing" deals with such issues as moving beyond past regrets, as well as claiming victory over negative and unruly influences in our lives. The project also offers toe-tapping praise & worship and a convincing remake of the Mahalia Jackson classic, "He's My Light."
This CD was produced by the multi-talented Bill Moss, Jr. (BMJ Productions) of Detroit, MI. Bill’s expertise helped to create a truly memorable project. To his credit, Bill Moss, Jr. has served as Musical Director and musician to Byron Cage (“An Invitation To Worship”), and he has contributed his skills and musicianship to his brother’s (J Moss) highly successful debut album (“The J Moss Project”).
All songs were written by Anita Myles except He's My Light and Nothing Is Impossible (which was co-written with Bill Moss, Jr). Music composition credits go to Y'Dell Myles, Bill Moss, Jr. and Anita Myles.
Singing since she was just a little girl, Anita has touched audiences in and out of church. She has served as a praise & worship leader, choir director, instructor, and soloist. Her recent performances include the 1st Annual Monterey Gospel Festival (in beautiful Monterey, California), opening for Martha Munizzi. She also appeared at the Ephesians 4 Conference (hosted by Kim Burrell) in Atlanta, GA which aired on The Word Network.
Most recently, Anita was named as a finalist in the 7th Annual Independent Music Awards (IMAs) for the category of "Best Gospel Album."
