Biography:

In 2005 Anmod was built on the ashes of Fornication, a well known and important death metal band from southern Brazil. Fornication started back in 1996 and released 2 albums during the band’s lifespan, see Discography section.

In 2004 Fornication crossed the ocean in order to embark on their "Unleashing Wrath Over Europe Tour". The tour, which lasted for three months, was a complete success and the road took the band across Germany, France, Netherlands, Austria, Italy, Belgium, Slovenia, Hungary and the Czech Republic.

After the tour, Gerson Watanabe (guitars), Hernan Oliveira (bass/vocals) and Johnny R.R. (drums) decided to leave Fornication and started to compose brand new songs. Anmod was born.

The style chosen by the band members differs from Fornication’s. Some grind influences were thrown in during the writing process, but an Anmod song still contains enough death metal elements for sure. Death and grind are mandatory when it comes to defining an Anmod song.
