Having already recorded a full album of arrangements for drums, bass, piano, guitar, strings, horns, etc...(One More Time in the Air at www.cdbaby.com/annadagmar) I decided it was time to reel in some songs and bring them back to their core: piano and voice. Most of the material is new, but even the two previously recorded songs sound open and new in this simple context. If you're looking for a more acoustic, intimate take on my music, Solo Songs is the album for you.

Exceptional musicianship and creativity

honest and creative songwriting
It's hard to find songwriting that is honest and creative. This CD is meaningful for its lyrics alone, but Anna's true strength is her ability to combine jazz, folk, classical, and pop genres with out sounding academic or false - instead she makes artisticly emotional music.
