Album Notes

Anna Lee is an Irish singer-songwriter, with a really unique voice that is at its best in live performance. With a violin teacher as a father, music has always been a feature of her life but she started writing and performing her own material in 2001 at singer-songwriter nights organised in Maynooth where she met fellow musicians Kevin Brett and ebby with whom she helped set up People In The Moon Records to release their own music through.

Her musical style shows the influence of Folk and Jazz mostly although her live set has become more Rock influenced of late as she has set up a band 'Husband|Wife' with ebby and they gig regularly in Galway city.

This Ep is her first official release, and is more of a retrospective of where she has come from as a songwriter and performer. The songs featured include the first song she ever wrote 'Lost In The Shadows' as well as songs written while spending a year in Australia in 2004 - such as 'Kiss' which was written after Anna got punched in the face while busking by a random passer-by.

great voice, great songs, great debut
author: Kevin Brett
This cd showcases Anna's unique songwriting and vocal styles quite well, although it does not show her full versatility being comprised of slower songs. That said, these songs are worth the 5 stars given, dealing with a range of situations from love and rejection to busking and death with an engaging and entertaining style.

Slow and beautiful
author: Daniel V
The album is gorgeous, if sometimes a little slow. Anna displays the full range of her vocal and song writing abilities, with a raw honesty in the lyrics and sound of each and every song.
