Album Notes

Annamaria Stefanelli is a lyric soprano known for her strong dramatic presence. Trained as an opera singer, Annamaria Stefanelli has appeared extensively in the tri-state area in both operas and concert performances. Ms. Stefanelli's many credits include solo performances in Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, St. Peter's Church, NY, Snug Harbor, NY and at the Liberty State Park Summer Concert Series.

Her operatic performances include both Mimi and Musetta in La Bohème, Alice Ford in Falstaff, Elvira in Don Giovanni and Susanna in Le Nozze Di Figaro, just to name a few. She also has sung with the Bloomfield Symphony Orchestra in NJ and the NY Grand Opera orchestra in NY.

In addition to her performances with local companies, Ms. Stefanelli has organized private concerts for a number of philanthropic associations. Ms. Stefanelli has received rave reviews for both the singing and the theater of these concerts. One of the event's directors, Anthony Ferrera, was quoted in the media saying, "The crowd enjoyed the opera so much the singers had to do an encore."

Ms Stefanelli is fluent in Italian and is a first-generation Italian-American. A particularly moving event for her was when she sang at the request of the Italian Vice Consul of Italy to open the ceremonies in NJ for celebrating Italy's Liberation Day. America Oggi, the Italian Newspaper, called her singing, "splendidamente."

She has currently released a CD of Italian arias and songs that takes the listener on a journey through her heritage and the influence Italian classical and popular music has had on her life. For more information on Ms. Stefanelli visit her web site at: http://www.annamariastefanelli.com.
