Annemarie Russell's third and newest album is her most accomplished work so far in her career. Broadening her acoustic folk sound, this new album includes guitar, acoustic bass, drums, piano and horns.
Produced by New York City area musician and producer Nathan Eklund, the result is a magical album showcasing intuitive songwriting, lyrical prowess and a fine band to back it all up.
Recorded at the studio at the St. Paul's Jazz Initiative in Paterson, New Jersey, Annemarie's latest album encapsulates what fans love about her music: honest poetic lyrics, sweet melodies, thoughtful arrangements and insightful messages about love, loss, and the art of being human.
In addition to Annemarie's fine vocal and guitar work, the album also features drummer Josh Dion, acoustic bassist Thomas Hogan, saxophone players Shirantha Beddage and Craig Yaremko, trumpet and flugelhorn player Nathan Eklund, pianist Kevin Wilkin, and vocalist Amy McNelly.
For those who are interested in acoustic original singer-songwriter music with driving lyrics and a rhythmic edge, this is an album to add to your collection today!

Annemarie's newest album is fantastic. Although it's different from the more traditional folk-style of her previous albums, her strong messages are still the same. She still promises hope and justice amidst the struggles and hard things in our world. I was inspired and impressed by Annemarie's work on this CD.
