The most influential person in Annette’s life was her mother who cultivated and encouraged her artistic expression through music. As her talent developed, she fell in love with the melodies, lyrics and freedom of jazz. Annette attributes this to her mom’s introduction to the voices of such vocal legends as Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington, Ella Fitzgerald, Natalie Cole, Aretha Franklin and Roberta Flack. Annette blends these diverse musical influences into her performances with a singular ability to take well known songs and make them her own.

When We Dance is Annette's debut cd where she showcases her vocal and songwriting ability, authoring all the lyrics. Her voice encapsulates the sultry sounds of soul, jazz, rhythm and blues.
