BIOGRAPHY
From an early age, Annette “Mee Mee” White began singing gospel music in her
youth choir in Boca Raton, Florida. Before she even realized that she had a
tremendous gift to sing, she developed a special love for gospel music.
After high school, she attended Edward Waters College in Jacksonville, Florida
where she became a member of the Edward Waters Concert Choir. After returning
from college, she joined and was a lead vocalist in the Southern Florida
Community Choir.
She then founded the Love, Peace, and Joy Gospel Singers in 1984, which was a
featured guest every Sunday morning on the Heavenly Jubilee show on Channel 5
(WPTV) in West Palm Beach, Florida.
She is also a writer of several songs in which some of them were recorded with
Committed Gospel Singers and the Palm Beach Mass Choir. She also wrote four of
the songs on her newly released CD; “ Saving My Life,” “His Name is Jesus,” “I
Worship You,” and “He Keeps On Blessing Me.”
She was the director of the women’s choir at her previous church, but now is a
lead vocalist in her present church choir wherein she also directs and is a
part of the praise and worship team. She was one of the founders and was also
the director of the Palm Beach Mass Choir for almost 12 years.
Annette has toured the Eastern United States and her music has been aired on
radio stations throughout the state of Florida, Georgia, Texas, South Carolina,
North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, New Jersey, Tennessee, Mississippi,
Alabama, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Ohio. An article concerning her ministry
was published in the “Paula White” issue of the Gospel Truth Magazine in the
summer of 2004, which was distributed throughout the United States. One of her
tracks, “It’s Working For You,” was featured on the “Gospel Truth Sampler” CD,
which was distributed to hundreds of radio announcers and retail outlets
throughout the country.
She was nominated for “Female Artist of the Year” at the Palm Beach Gospel
Music Awards in 2004 and now in 2005 in the state of Florida.
She has ministered with the likes of James Bignon, Albertina Walker, Richard
Smallwood , Andre Crouch, Rev. Milton Biggham, Dorothy Norwood, Bishop James
Morton, and Rev. Timothy Wright. She’s also one of the lead vocalists for the
soon to be released CD by the Greater Florida Mass Choir.
Her primary goal is to be a witness to encourage the down-hearted, and to be
able to draw young people as well as people in all walks of life to the love of
God.
Singing gospel music has always been a passion of hers, and at times turning
down secular music offers because of her commitment to the gospel of Christ.
Her first solo project, “Saving My Life,” is destined to become a real boost to
her career, for it is a sample of the powerful anointing that God has placed on
her voice and her life.
