Album Notes

Annie Enneking is a multi-disciplined artist, wife and mother living in Minneapolis. Her career in theatre, dance and music spans three-decades. In days of yore, Annie performed and schooled at The Children's Theatre Company of Mpls, where she originated a number of titular roles, including Pippi Longstocking (for which she won a KUDOS Award). Most recently, Annie has read a number of new works at The Playwright's Center, including "The Love Song of J Robert Oppenheimer", which received a very successful staging by Frank Theatre. As a dancer, Annie performed with Danny Buraczeski's Jazzdance, Paula Mann Dance, and with Shawn McConneloug and Her Orchestra. After a lonely stint as a solo singer-songwriter, Kristen Phaff Memorial Scholarship recipient, Annie, now alt/folk rocks with Triangle Park (From the Inside, 2003).
Of Annie's solo effort, Fast and Good Looking, Open Air critic Matthew Andrews says of Annie that her "music and lyrics draw you in to her decidely unsimple world, while her mellifluous voice glides through shifts in style, register and tone with surprising facility; her songs crackle with tension and surprise." And Jon Bream of The Mpls. Star Tribune says that the title track of Fast and Good Looking "is one of the best folk songs around."
If you enjoy Fast and Good Looking, please check out Triangle Park's From the Inside, where Annie joins bassist and fellow songwriter and frontwoman, Kate Lynch, and former eighth-grade class president, drummer, Chadly Koppenhaver.
