“Good Old Wagon” is the band's 3rd CD and continues to provide a rich mixture of acoustic blues, jazz, swing, country and traditional music.
The band consists of Annie and Jonny Rosen of Guilderland, New York and Steve and Betsy Fry of Averill Park, New York.
The group features lead vocalist Annie Rosen, guitarist Jonny Rosen, multi-instrumentalist Steve Fry, and bassist Betsy Fry. Annie Rosen’s impassioned singing is backed up by tight-knit harmonies and a variety of lead instruments, including guitar, mandolin, trumpet, and keyboards. Some of the areas finest acoustic musicians appear in guest spots on the CD and at live shows, including Kevin Maul on dobro, Peter Davis on clarinet, Frank Orsini on fiddle, and Dave Kiputh on banjo.
Three of the tunes spotlight the daughters of the band members: Amanda Fry and Hannah Rosen. Amanda performs the traditional tune "Maid of Culmore" accompanied by her dad on keyboard and John Cromie on whistles. Hannah performs another traditional song, “Pretty Fair Maid" and also sings harmony on "Jealous Hearted Blues".
This CD also includes a data file that contains lyrics, photos, a video and other features.
The band performs primarily in Northeastern New York. Members of the group have also been featured on a number of recordings on the “A Gentle Wind” label and on recordings for Scholastic Books.

The Hedonists?
author: Steve Crespo
I first saw Annie and the Hedonists at a festival in upper NY a couple of years ago. Looking at the band line up for the day, and seeing the name "The Hedonists" I looked to my wife with an "Oh, brother!" kind-of-face. I wasn't expecting much.
As it turned out, Annie and the Hedonists were the only band we did see, and my wife, my parents, our friends, and myself were so taken with them that we each bought both CDs available at the time- "Side of the Road" and "Moonglow on the Midway." Since then, speaking for my house alone, those two CDs have been among the more regularly played discs. We love 'em.
I have been waiting for Annie's third for some time, and I must say that "Good Old Wagon" was worth the wait.
It is rare that you hear a band play from the heart. I mean, really from the heart. These guys do it time and time again. The band is tight, and this woman's voice could melt the coldest heart. She truly has a gift. (And it appears that it has been passed along to the next generation on this CD.)
This is great stuff, and as a music lover, I really hold this band up as one of my best discoveries.
Well done, Hedonists.

Another winner from Annie & the Hedonists. The photos and video were a nice extra too. We now have all 3 of their CDs and can't decide which is our favorite. There's still room for another one though, since many of the songs we've heard them sing in person aren't on any of the three. Keep on singin'!
