Album Notes

Welcome To My Birthday is Annie's best, most representative record yet. It is Annie playing live with her guitar as you would expect to hear her at The Bluebird Cafe, or a folk festival, or a house concert. Producer Don Kerce supports the emotion with upright bass on some of the tracks, but the record's focus is on the songs. Annie's delivery is raw and and intriguing, and her songs are strange, rich, story-songs that bring laughter and tears, often times in the same song. Her live shows are what draw her audience and keep her fan-base expanding, but this record perfectly captures the feel of an Annie Mosher show - - the energy is wildly appealing and powerful. The title track of the album may be the strangest, funniest, saddest song yet, an enigma that leaves a poignant, joyous confusion. Like Annie herself. We hope you enjoy it.
