ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Piper's latest album is a bold departure from her earlier work. From the first bars of 'Amazon', a nod to SRV's 'Scuttlebuttin', there's clearly a new energy and passion from her virtuosic backing band. This allows Piper's musicianship and skills as a vocalist, bassist and composer to truly shine.
From the funky slapping and popping on 'Dreamcatcher', 70s-rock inspired classic riffs on 'Highway Time' (her sardonic tribute to life on the road), and the driving rhythms of 'The Whistleblower', Piper fulfils the promise she displayed in her earlier recordings. Inspired by the blues rock idols she enjoyed in her youth, she states 'this is the album I always wanted to make'.
