Ann Klein has established herself as one of downtown NYC's premier guitarists and songwriters.
Her credits include: Natalie Imbruglia, Joan Osborne (check out VH-1's "Before They Were Stars"), PM Dawn, Imani Coppola (Late Night with Conan O'Brien and Vibe), Illuminati, Stephen King (audtiobook) and Maurice Sendak (ballet rendition of "Where the Wild Things Are").
She has independently recorded 2 CDs: "Driving You Insane" and "For the Love of Love." Both releases were featured in Billboard (3 full length articles), and other national music magazines such as Relix.
Ann has toured Europe consistently to incredibly receptive crowds, and has received support from hundreds of U.S. college radio stations and local press, both in the States and Europe.
She has performed repeatedly on WXPN's (Philadelphia) "World Cafe", and WDST's (Woodstock) "Sessions."
In addition, Ann wrote music/sound for France 3 (French public television) documentary on William Burroughs - to air early 2000.
Ann will also appear on Sara Lee's forthcoming album, with contributions from the Indigo Girls and Ani DiFranco among other famers.
If you like great songwriting, great guitar playing, humor, darkness, clever lyrics, pop hooks and vibe -- you'll get it from an artist with a proven INDEPENDENT track record.

All in all this is an album of real strength, a CD that impresses continuously throughout its fifty minute, eleven track existence. Unlike so many of the millions of female artists who grew out of the success of Alanis (don’t get me started) Ann Klein has her own definitive, and not borrowed for the day, style. Her music combines elements of art-pop, blues and rock in a palatable but not overly sweet concoction. The result is a CD of depth and beauty, and you really can’t ask for more than that.
