Album Notes

Annmarie was born in Willoughby, Ohio and graduated from St Augustine Academy in Lakewood. She earned her B.A. in Music Education from Alderson-Broaddus College in Philippi, West Virginia. After college, she sang at Canterbury Cathedral in England, Notre Dame Cathedral in France, and met Pope John Paul II at the Vatican in Rome. Annmarie lives in Los Angeles with her husband Jim and their two young children.

Annmarie has released four CDs. "Come to the Holy Banquet" is a compilation of original gospel songs written by the late Evelyn Davis Haettenschwiller of Cleveland, Ohio. She was Annmarie's mentor and friend. Annmarie had promised Evelyn on her deathbed that she'd get her music "out to the world." To do that, she wanted to reach a large audience, so she sent a piano-voice demo of her Come to the Holy Banquet songs to Michael Ferenci in Los Angeles (www.ferencimusic.com). Michael and Annmarie's husband Jim went to high school together. Michael liked what he heard and proceeded to turn this gospel music into a more contemporary Christian flair. This effort resulted in the release of Annmarie's second CD called "Face to Face."

Annmarie just released a two-CD set called "Sing the Rosary with Annmarie." This 160-minute CD set features a fully sung Rosary for each of the four mysteries. It was designed to help pray the Rosary, meditate in the midst of our busy days, and teach our children the prayers within the Rosary and the order in which we say them. It's sung in three-part harmony with piano accompaniment.

Singing has always been Annmarie's security, her niche. It's helped her develop her sense of self and has always been incredibly therapeutic. For many years, it was a challenge for her to sing unless she took her children with her to practices and the actual events. She remembers attending lots of late-night choir rehearsals holding her two sleeping young children on her shoulders and singing away. She thanks God for the patience He gave to the other members of the choir. Fortunately, that period of her life is over, and she's making up for lost time. Now she sings as much as she can and loves every minute of it. She feels truly blessed to have been given this voice and the chance to share it.
