Anointed® is a Wilmington, Delaware based group of Gospel Singers. Their mission is to spread the good news of Jesus Christ through songs of praise.
Executive producer, Deloris Barr, founded this group in 1992. Anointed®, is their registered Service Mark.
What An Amazing Child is the group's first release. The most requested song, "The Keeper of My Soul", made the charts (#36) on WOAD Gospel Radio (1400 AM) in Jackson, Mississippi in November of 1993. Rose N. Barr, an older sibling is the leader of this Spirit filled and uplifting cut. Also included in this release are four holiday songs: Happy Birthday Jesus, Behold The Lamb, What An Amazing Child and He Came To Save. All nine of the songs on this release were written and arranged by Deloris via the Divine Holy Spirit. The songs were recorded at Sound Spa Studios in Chester, PA. The engineer was Chris Alberts, son of the very famous Al Alberts (Tell Me Why). The producers were Gerald Chavis and Cheryl Hamilton.
Deloris and her older sibling (Rose) are products of South Carolina. They worked on the farm until each graduated from high school, after which they relocated to Wilmington, DE.
Since relocating to Delaware, they have sung with the many Gospel Singing Groups listed below:
-The Brown Family (Recorded: Worthy Of Thee and Sweet Heaven in the early 1970s)
-The Music Ministry Workshop Choir (Under the direction of Rev. Freddie Washington, Jr. - With this group, along with Gabriel Hardeman Delegation, they had the privilege to sing background on Ms. Patti LaBelle's gospel song -I Can Fly- in 1988)
-The Echoes Of Harmony of Wilmington, Delaware. They released "How Do I Thank You?" in 1991. The release included 2 original songs written by Deloris.
-Serena Fords' Outreach Music Ministry Recording Choir. This group participated on two songs in the live recording of Jay Caldwell and The Gospel Ambassadors' release, -Leaving Jericho- (Songs entitled: Sweeter Than The Day and All Right After All)
-The Barr Sisters (Rose Nell Barr & Deloris Barr - also known as Anointed®)
-The 300 Voice Choir (Under the direction of Sister Patti Williams)
-The McCants Relations Singers

Anointed® enjoys their Gospel Singing Ministry and do look forward to many more releases.
