Inside is the fourth release from Anomalous Disturbances.
This recording is different from my previous albums in that it is a collaborative effort with my brothers, Chris and Wayne. During late December, 2003, I visited them in Los Angeles for the holidays. We spent a few days just hanging out, playing music and recording our improvised jams.
Chris and Wayne contributed greatly with their rhythmic and atmospheric interplay to my asynchronous, looping Ebow guitar and guitar synth - there's percussion and beats in five of the eight tracks. Throughout the intervening years (2005-2008) we revisited these recordings sporadically, overdubbing additional textures, editing and mixing.
We chose to title this work simply "Inside", due to the cocoon-like nature of the recording studio and our mindset at that place and time.

Inner Space Of Ambient Bliss!
author: Shane B.
On this 2009 release, ambient Canadian musician Terrence O'Brien collaborated with his brothers, Chris and Wayne. This album really highlights how talented this trio is. The final result was a diverse mix of ethereal and at times tribal layers, bringing the music back down to earth. The various instruments and percussion are used to occupy the spaces between sounds with eclectic and bold progressions into the inner sanctum of our world. I especially enjoyed the transition from "Inner III" to "Inner IV" as it built up an expectation of sensation, culminating into a fantastic ambient fulfillment. Look out more progressive musical genius from Terrence O'Brien!!
