Album Notes

Very little is known about The Anorexics apart from they originate from Coventry, England. They have done very few live shows and almost no interviews. All that can be said is that their line up is constantly under review and they mostly consist of one man, Neil J. Taylor, who writes and records in the lazarette,(the part of a boat where they used to stash the lepers), of an ancient Scottish trawler as it drifts around the Mediterranean sea.
Their sound can best be described as chaotic, like Iggy Pop fronting Sonic Youth with lots of spiky guitars and almost no sea shanties.
The band left their native England in the early noughties and lazily toured Spain, France and Italy to put together new material in the sunshine. Ten Empty Curses is a selection of their work at a number of locations throughout Europe.
If you like your Alt. Rock particularly alt., then you should buy this record, it might even help to feed the dolphins.
