Album Notes
This five song EP is suited for those who enjoy storytelling with soulful funky grooves and a bit of dance. The title track “Words To Say” is a dance record with a Euro-Trance vibe, tapered with a Latin/cha-cha groove. In addition to being a cool dance track, lyrically this record conveys the mental gymnastics many feel trying to approach a love interest. “Lying Eyes ” is a funky soulful groove featuring Stephan Vaughn on trumpet. The song epitomizes a story of betrayal. “Pushin’ Through The Pain” is composed of prominent funky piano riffs, reminiscent of a theme song to a 70’s sitcom. This soul-baring record is a simple expression of perseverance through pain. “I’ve Got To Tell You” is a duet featuring the spectacular voice of Kimaya Seward and simply put, engenders happy feelings. With a simple piano cord, marching band brass, and funky guitar licks, this record transports the listener to the love scene of a favorite movie. “The Way She Loves Me” is a sultry and enticing groove with a funky head bobbing bass line also featuring Stephan Vaughn on trumpet. This record is a quiet storm staple. The compilations of these songs could easily serve as the soundtrack to “a day in the life” of many listeners.

Grown Folks Music (Not a Cliche', Either)
As someone who was once a CD reviewer for a local publication in Nashville for several years, I am used to listening with a discerning ear. And so, even though I have the privilege of knowing Anthonol personally, that doesn't automatically mean that I was going to, pardon the pun, sing praises about his music. However, even he will tell you that upon listening to his debut for the first time, I was pleasantly---not surprised but entertained.
For one thing it, is evident that Anthonol is a fan of more than one kind of genre of music and that within itself makes for a multi-faceted artist. In his music, you can hear that jazz, R&B and even tinges of gospel and Contemporary Christian music are a part of the foundation that he builds upon. His words are sincere, many of his hooks are catchy and his production style sends a clear signal that he will only further grow as a songwriter, producer and artist.
It is well worth your time to invest into this up-and-comer. A man who doesn't just want to be a performer...
But chooses to make his mark as a true, and lasting, artist.
