'The Words and Music of Anthony J. Quinn' consists of 20 songs, 16 of which were first featured on his two albums 'In A Foreign Part Of The Town' and 'Old Hat's Return'. Also included are two previously unrecorded songs 'Sister June' and 'I Shall Meet You In The Open Country' plus performances by Jean Crompton and Moira Witter. Three songs from his first album have been completely re-recorded and two songs from his second album re-edited. The re-recordings, re-editing and the two new recordings were done at Tonewood Studios in Liverpool where 'Old Hat's Return' was originally recorded. The final mastering of all 20 songs was also done at Tonewood Studios by Mark Reader. The misanthropic, reclusive singer/songwriter rarely plays live, but there is a film of him at his home on youtube doing unplugged versions of 'Last Summer's Champagne' and ' Sister June'.
