Here, submitted for your aural perusal, is a most listenable musical journey from talented San Antonio, Texas-based composer/keyboardist Anthony Pope. WITH ALL MY HEART is loaded with engaging original melodies and first-rate playing, not only from Mr. Pope, but from his solid sidemen. They include sax man Richard Potter, guitarist Robert Marquez, and trumpeter Al Gomez, along with bassist Fred Glasgow, drummer Derick Hendrick, and percussion programmer Nathan James Fair.  Anthony Pope's touch on the keys, whether it be piano or synth, is artful, sensitive and world-class, bringing the most out of his tasty compositions and arrangements. Tempos and moods vary nicely on this collection of 11 tunes, from the hauntingly delicate "Two to Tango" to the lively "Straight Up, which features fine solo work from both Potter on sax and Marquez on electric guitar. To my ear, the highlights from this fine album are the two beautiful sax-driven ballads, "Only You" and the title track, together with the aforementioned "Two to Tango," the catchy "Just Like That," and the passionately intense guitar-based "Just Let Me Be." Good stuff here, and without question worthy of your consideration. This CD is the calm after the storm after a busy day at work I can not wait to get in to my car and start playing it. It puts me in a good mood for things that I used to put off for another day. Excellent sounds!!!!!
