Anthropology Soundtracks is a sonic "search and rescue" unit out of the fringes of the greater New York regions, serving up a full volume of ambient odds and ends.

From the collectives journal dated December 12, 2002:

"Deep in the jungles of the metropolis we cast our nets wide, dredging the rich sonic pools in search of strange sound-species. We, the fully engaged explorers made our way through the treacherous car parks and outlaw playgrounds, the desolate drunken streets and came face to face with the wild beings of a lost world. We heard the far-off cry of writhing dinosaur machines, tribal and true! Past the fuzz-buzz of the static waterfalls lurked the primal howler who screamed "shut up...go home"! We almost didn't make it out of the savage lands with our notebooks and sound harvesters, but escape we did and now the fruits of our labors...Vol 1."
