Antoine Bleck the french crooner...
Antoine Bleck was born in the North east of
France, in the Vosges mountains where all his
life was about ski, ski, and more ski...
He moved to the US in 1981.
He learned to play the piano at a very young age, but didn't
start writing music until the purchase of his first keyboard
at the age of 30.
After 15 years writing songs in his basement, he decided to
try his tunes in public with some Brazilian musicians at
Opia (New York city) on Monday nights.
The first concert in April 2003 launched his first CD
"principe favorable".
Antoine's music is inspired by such artists as Steely Dan,
Michael Franks or closer to his origins Michel Jonaz,
Gainsbourg or Jacques Dutronc. His style has been
described as a "Bluesy funky with a "je ne sais quoi"
French style".
Lyrics go from hilarious to sentimental; describing moods,
situations and fantasies from his adolesence.
"my favorite French singer in
New York "
Ron Delsener(concert
promoter)
"more handsome and talented
than most artists who perform
in his club" Richard Johnson
(NY Post;page six)
All lyrics and music written, played, and produced by Antoine Bleck except for "Coeur
d'artichaut" and "so much better" (produced with Marcello Pimenta)
These songs were composed between 1996 and 2002, in the basement of Antoine's house
in Mamaroneck, New York, under the flabbergasted look of the airedale, Quincy:
If you like the music tell your friends and if you don't tell your enemies

Antoine Bleck is cool...his "Steely Dan" flair mix with his French "je ne sais quoi" style, makes him very unique.
