Great album!
author: Lucius Marcus
This collection should go a long way in spreading the word about Antoine Salem, one of jazz guitar's best kept secrets. With "Small Homey Arsenal", Salem and his trio have created a sophisticated, mature and worldly album that is at times playful and poignant. Salem draws heavily from the old world of jazz guitar, though his playing retains a freshness and inventiveness that is thoroughly modern. This is a brilliantly crafted piece of work and Mr. Salem deserves all the recognition that this album will continue to receive. Nice work!
