A. Paul Johnson has been experimenting with hybrid pop/classical/rock/new age/broadway crossover music since the mid-seventies. His classical recordings have featured the Prague Symphony Orchestra and Warsaw Philharmonic among others, and solists like Malcolm Smith and Richard Stoltzman have recorded his concerti.
XTREME CLASSICAL II goes a further step with experimental soundscapes, rap, and voice over story songs, that range from solo instrument tracks to full orchestral pieces with the 70 member Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra

Very Good, very eclectic, something for everyone!

This CD is very good. I have my favorites already. I like all sorts of music, and so this fits me. It is very issue driven, with the songs about various topics like reality TV, air pollution and others. I like all of them, but find myself especially drawn to the classical pieces: The prelude is really nice. Track 9, the Variations track is also excellent. My favorite is probably 900 days. It is long, but the music is moving and the story (spoken over the music) is amazing and well presented. Of the others, many are fun, nice to listen to, and my favorite of the rest is probably "Dancin' in the Wind" which is quite catchy. Though I did not know what to expect, I felt it well worth the price after listening to it.
