(EM014) Apologist - We're On Vapour Cougar is a beautiful ambient music CD by Apologist (aka Philip Doak from UK.) A release that spans continuously over 3 well balanced tracks: minimal compositions, subtle guitar and voices, a splendid journey for about 40 minutes.

London-based Apologist was born in North East Scotland in early 2003 and is the pseudonym of Philip Doak. Originally starting out as a Boards Of Canada / Scorn wannasoundalike, Apologist’s sound has, through a combination of composition and improvisation, evolved into one with far-reaching possibilities as demonstrated on new album “We’re On Vapour Cougar”. By turns dense and spacious, this new work is a 40-minute excursion through different textures, layers and tones. “We’re On Vapour Cougar” is one continuous piece comprising three movements.
