Apostles: A Brief Bio
Griot and Megawatt have been writing, producing and performing together since 1998. They recently incorporated the band as a way to get more shows and to musically move away from sampling. Apostles now work very closely with two talented singers and a 5-piece band. After two strong years performing all over NYC and even in Australia, they have mixed their sound, “Grown Folks Hip Hop” with funk and rock to come up with the LP Makin the People Move.
The lead single, She Always Cries, is a testament to some of the pitfalls of being busy and having to leave someone special behind. The story of these hard-working musicians comes to life in a sexy, clever and funny music video that is a part of the package.
