The Comp 2 features 28 tracks from a well-spring of unique bands spanning the globe. It boasts some heavy-hitters from its predecessor like When They All Fell, sydbarret and Forgetting Tomorrow, all of which could very well be the “next big thing”. The Comp 2 is a virtual variety pack of heavy underground music, Storm(o), a band hailing from Italy has an energy and rawness reminiscent of early converge. Mourning Waits of New Jersey perfectly blends the last decade of east coast hardcore and metal into what can be described as rhythm meeting wreckage. The Full Body Karate, a band whose name is as energetic and frantic as its sound. Different Directions is just that; going back to the old school appeal of fast riffs, chunky breakdowns and sing-a-longs. Division Chaos of Germany brings a thick brooding sound described as being anti-fashion hate-grind. If you’re looking for break-neck speeds and unrelenting drums than Murderous Perfection is for you. For fans of heavy music, there is certainly something for you on this album.
