About GROOVIN'
If you like smooth jazz or adult contemporary, then this is the CD for you! Released in June of 2003, this is our third CD together. It has more pop tunes that most people will recognize, all done with our signature jazzy feel. Ray Anthony joins us on drums.

About APPLE & BRITT
In 1998 we began playing around Delmarva, mostly Ocean City, as a duo. Having similar tastes in music, our songlist has become our calling card. It has over 550 tunes on it. More tunes are added each month! We perform mostly for mature audiences. Old Standards, Jazz, Blues and Oldies are our strongest suits. Pop "power ballads" are quite effective for us. We love jazz the most. However, it's almost impossible to make a living playing jazz around here. So, we do all kinds of music. Visit our website: www.rhondaapple.com for more info.

About DALE BRITT
Originally from Crisfield, Maryland. Currently living in Salisbury, MD. Started playing professionally at age 17. My biggest influences were Bill Evans, Hampton Hawes, Andre Previn, Oscar Peterson and Keith Jarrett, among others. My piano style is full of improvisation. Although, part of my style evolved from listening to others, I have, over the years, developed a style of my own. It is very exciting, not knowing what is coming next, while playing a song. I'm always looking for new ways to play a song, with new chords, new voicings, etc. I believe that is what jazz is all about, and what gives the musician the power to evoke strong emotions from his audience. Although jazz is my favorite music, I enjoy playing many different kinds of music. Since that is what I do on the job, I have really enjoyed my career in music thus far.

About RHONDA APPLE
Originally from Gas City, Indiana. Currently living in Salisbury, MD. Started singing professionally at age 20. Influences include but are not limited to: Ella Fitzgerald, Nancy Wilson, Sarah Vaughn, Aretha Franklin, Barbra Streisand, June Christy, Celine Dion and Whitney Houston. My style is versatile, down-to-earth and friendly--"class and sass." Performing many different styles of music, I sing with conviction and strength.

Definitely, tey are in the groove!

Apple and Britt have a winning combination. Rhonda Apple has great vocals, which have only gotten better over time (I have heard them, ever since they began, several years ago.). She can be jazzy, boppy, driving, sultry -- you name it; she can do it. And Dale Britt, on the piano and electric piano, with drum rhythm with it, is an outstanding keyboardist. He has really never had a "day job" having played piano and electric piano for his livelihood, which is hard to do, when you live in a small geographic area as he does. Although he lives in a small geogeographic area, he is widely known as a keyboardist extaordinaire, in his area and for far distances outside of it. The album "Groovin" is great. It, like Apple and Britt, has a wide variety of songs, from smooth, easy-listening to more upbeat songs. "Peel Me a Grape" is one of my personal favorites, on this album. Apple and Britt perform at Phillips-by-the-Sea, in Ocean City, a lot, during the season, but they also do other gigs, elsewhere, as well - several of them are on an ongoing basis. They were invited and played at the famous Blues Alley, in Washington, D.C., for example, which shows how good they are. I encourage you to buy this album, whether it's your first or whether you have some of their other ones. You won't be disappointed, with their "groovin."

This CD was everything I expected. The songs were easy listening selections, great for relaxing after work. I felt like I was in a lounge listening to the real performers. I would definitely recommend it to any one who enjoys smoky lounge music.
