It Has Potential
I notice a resemblance to the music of the Beatles when I listen to Applepolish. Most songs have that very noticeable feature. The vibe the songs bring are very mellow and peaceful. The songs also have a unique way of connecting types of music such as rock, experimental, pop, and many others. It’s something I’ve never heard before. The way I like to think of it is as if all the genres of music got together and had a party. It may sound awkward but if you take a moment to think about it, it makes sense. Ugly Enigma is a good example of the tone and placement of the different genres. I think overall the music is very good aside from some things that personally bother me. For example, some of the songs are a bit too long for me. Good CD overall.

John Q Public
Chaos in the energy flowing system starts off slowly and quietly but has a dynamic change towards the middle of the song. It becomes energetic and interesting. John Q Public has more of a rock feel to it. It is also energetic. The Hermit is one of my favorite songs because of the simple rhythm and funny lyrics. Listen Listen or New Vitality is one of those songs that everyone can relate too. Not Going To Do It is a song that I can say is my number one favorite because its catchy and is really one song that you can say is easily recognizable when its played. Ugly Enigma is a song that puts all the other songs together which in some parts is really amazing but in some cases just drags out a bit too long.

The cd was great
As soon as the first track played it caught my attention. I can tell that there was a lot of effort, energy, and care put into the music. Overall I liked this collection of music. The two songs that stood at the most are John Q Public and Spirit Threads. This CD is a great start for things to come.

LOLZ! This Was Grrrrrreat!
I believe many artists and musicians should take the rode or path of Applepolish. Their music is mainly inspirational and alternative so listening to them while doing homework is refreshing, thus helping me focus. I believe at least half the songs will have you smiling yet captivated due to the many sounds and emotions that are invoked throughout the CD. A few refreshing songs in the multitude of other CDs who talk about nothing more than sex, gang, life, and money. In Addition, the fact that only two men,
did the work of an at least 5-7 part band is amazing as well. If more songs like “Bandwagon” and “John Q public” were recorded, the world may just understand real music a little but more. Would love to be informed when the next CD comes out!
