Album Notes

With an unmistakably edgy 60's feel, Approximately Jane's sound has been compared to the likes of the Velvet Underground and early electric Dylan. Gigging extensively in the underground club scene during the late 90's resulted in two forays into the studio which produced two sets of recordings. The first was the psychedelia tinged Liquid Energy completed in 1999.This was followed by the more colourful Up in the Sky containing the impressive eight minute Hammond fueled 'Spin' which was finally finished in July 2001.

Notes on "Up in the Sky": An upbeat and colourful but edgy rock/guitar-pop record with an unmistakable late 60's tinge to it. The standout track here must be the epic eight minute Hammond fueled 'Spin'.
