It's raw, it's earthy, and it breaths. It's rich with unpolished but energetic sounds of yesteryear. From fast-paced, dirty rockabilly numbers, to tender country ballads, there's a traveling, troubled hobo theme.

Album Notes

Adam Pope is a Winston-Salem, NC native who moved to Nashville in Feb, '06 to pursue a career in music. Since then, Adam has recorded several albums from the stark arrangements of roots and acoustic songs to the complex full 6-pc band material. He has been observing life, which is inspiring his writing of songs since he was 17.
Adam Pope & The Rebel Roots captures a snap-shot in time, when Adam first moved to Nashville, in which he recorded a collection of roots & rockabilly songs that best reflected the creative period and traditional musicians Adam surrounded himself with.
Since the release of Adam Pope & The Rebel Roots in 2007, Adam has continued to build a strong catalog of music, and, recently, put together a band that perfectly complements the energy and roots/country styles he brings to the stage. He is currently finishing a new project that will feature fresh new original recordings, all recorded by the same musicians he plays shows with. The album should be finished by fall of '09. Keep your eye out for this up-and-coming, truly original, artist!
