Biography

Arami, The prodigy of the Paraguayan Harp.



Arami is born on 1991 in Cannes (France) from a French father and Paraguay mother. She grew up on the French Riviera then moved to Asuncion (Paraguay), Santiago (Chile) and currently lives in Miami/FL (USA). At the age of 5, her grandfather offered her the famous music instrument from Paraguay, the Harp. She started taking classes and play Paraguay Harp on a regular base, with prestigious professors from Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay.

At the age of 9 she started participating in TV shows such as “Canal 13” in Chile, then with the famous program broadcasted over 30 Spanish-based countries, “Sabado Gigante” from Don Francisco where she won a “youth talents” contest interpreting a magisterial "Pajaro Chogui”, typical music from Paraguay Harp. She was invited to participate in Alicante/Spain to the Spanish program “Veo Veo” broadcasted live on TVE and its international channels to more than 80 Millions spectators! Arami was he youngest Harpist in the US contracted by the Naples Philharmonic for a series of 7 concerts broadcasted nationally on PBS channel in 2002. She participated to various Television programs in South Florida such as “Despierta America”from Univision and performed in Kingston/Jamaica for an event with the Prime Minister. Indeed the song "Jamaica Farewell" which is on this 2nd Album joined her repertoir due to this event! She was invited to the “Latin America Harp Festival” in Cuernava/Mexico in 2005.


Each year Arami travels to her roots in Paraguay and takes intensive classes with “Maestros” of the Paraguay Harp. She recorded during such stays her first CD “Revelacion” at the age of 10, and this second Album “Evolucion” at 13 years old. Then at the age of 16 she released her third Album “Around the world” the likes of which are rarely heard by such a young prodigy. In November 2007 she is one of the few International Harpist invited to participate at the “First World Harp Festival in Asuncion/Paraguay”, sponsored by the UNESCO.

Her repertoire is currently composed of more than 40 interpretations, including International music themes from around the world, and she currenly lives in New-York where she pursue her degree in the domain of Art at the New-York Conservatory of Dramatic Arts.
