Arashi is a Boston based band founded in 1998 by Andy Marrone and Calvin Williams. Arashi released their first CD "Mechanical Eyes" in 2001. Mechanical Eyes has been well received by college and independent radio stations across the US and Europe.

Mechanical eyes is a story about an artificially created being, and its quest for feeling and humanity, and the reason for its existance; going beyond daily programming.

Pretty damn good
author: Andrew
This is a very good CD. I highly recommend it whether you like techno or just easily listening music. It's very well done musically and is always a pleasure to listen to. The vocals are really varied and add an interesting flair and the lyrics are very thoughtful. Great CD, 4. out of 5 stars, rounded up to five.

This CD is excellent, a must have. Arashi just needs a better final master production/producer. Bass beats aren't phat enough and still needs that finished sound. The riff's are almost there. All around very good listening music...

ARASHI transcends the genre of trance-ambient!
author: George Koumantzelis
Everything about this album shows the mark of excellence. It is a labor of love. ... Everything from the basic concept to the final cover art is well thought-out and superbly excecuted. ... The SOUNDS! ... The sounds, alone, will grab you. The lyrics, vocals, instrumentation, percussion, and overall ambience all combine together to create an integrated experience of a sonic story with a conceptual thematic whole. ... NOT your typical ambient / trance material! ... This shows the hand of genius at work! ... ENJOY! - The Aeolian Kid

This cd overall is techno but is different than any other artist I have heard. It's kind of like Enigma but relaxed instead of quite as intense.
