i grew up on the east end of long island, ny. my parents say i was singing before i was speaking. and i was on stage by the age of 3.
i went off to college, because that is what you do (or at least that was what was expected of me) after high school, only to realize the hard way that college was not for me.
my first band popped up during those formative years, however, on the north shore of mass (gordon college), when a series of loves, and loves lost, has a tendency to make those years potently residual. my writing became personal and poetic, and my sensibilities for the vaguely cryptic, more refined. (all that to say, i was writing a lot, and in a sense, finding my voice.)
since then, i have tried folk, pop, rock, indie, acoustic, electric, ambient, full band, solo, and accapella... i have sung in rock clubs, casinos, churches, festivals, coffeehouses, and - of course- the shower.
i feel that ARAVIS, and this most recent project (Hello Someday) is my most vulnerable work to date. it is a colabertation of talent muscians and creative ideas, and i can confidently say...it shines. it is my deepest hope that all who hear it can take something from it, and make it their own. i pray that it resonates with your soul, as it does mine.
there is so much more than this. so much more than me. there is a bigger picture, and i want to be a part of it. The Painter is amazing. His work unmatched for excellence. so i will do my part. play my role. use what i have been given. and always be grateful.
