Album Notes

'One of the finest new artists I've ever heard......absolutely superb.' THE POKEY HOLE

'Through a quartet of fragile and haunting songs he captured and captivated an audience who had come to hear him. A seriously talented musician. Definitely one to watch out for.' MAVERICK

‘Dan's silvery melodies elevated the crowd to an entirely different level. He didn't get far before being called for an encore and we were treated to one more mellifluous track before the waft of crowd dissipated contentedly into the cold night air.’ PEMBROKESHIRE TV

‘He’s dead good.’ THE FOREST

‘This is beautiful music, beautifully performed.’ ASHCROFT ARTS CENTRE

Dan Arborise is an amazing guitarist and singer; his unique and haunting vocals a perfect match for his sensitive songs and incredibly complex guitar technique.

His debut album 'Around in Circles', produced and mixed by the acclaimed Jon Hopkins ('undoubtedly one of the hottest neames on the ambient scene' Up Front Mag), is a collection of fragile songs - beautiful music, beautifully performed and produced.

Inspired by the music of Nick Drake and John Martyn, Dan began to develop his own intricate guitar technique. Influenced by the sweet melodies, simple structure and heavenly harmonies of Teenage Fanclub the songs began to form.

Other influences came from the likes of Gorky's Zygotic Munci, Jeff Buckley, Prefav Sprout, Acid Mothers Temple, Ozric Tentacles and most recently the Fife based Fence Collective.
