Inspired by a trip to Cane Hill, Psychiatric Hospital, Coulsdon, London.
Deserted, Desolate, Miserable & Sinister.
We made a few recordings on site & listening back to these recordings we found certain sounds that were not obvious at the time, these have been cleaned & enhanced to make them more audible.
The music on this CD is a contrast of Explosive to Ambient experimental noise, sparse melody, electronic, sound fx, horror, disturbing, torture, psycho, asylum, prison, abuse.
With a few moments of light relief.
This reflects the range of emotions felt during our encounter, & afterwards.
Cane Hill became a bit of an attraction due to the fact that David Bowie, Charles Chaplin & Micheal Caine all had relatives there.
