Great Mix....

I went and listened to this at the advice of a friend...Yeah it's kind of poppy folky ( i listen to mostly punk/hardcore music) but it still manages to maintain diversity within its genre and even a little Jazzy at times. but what I think really carries this music, as with most singer songwriters, is the singers voice which in this case is very passionate and emotive. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

"Michael Arden's debut CD delivers a dose of refreshing rock and roll that will take you to his world. His soulful blend of vocal harmonies explore new territories while reminding us of past harmony masters and vocal legends. He's got the story telling lyrical ability that pulls you in and the rhythm groove that keep you in. We wonder where all the musicians have gone in this age of candy-coated corporate rock. Michael has our answer."

I always feel artists should play to their strengths and following several listens to Michael's CD I've yet to find his weakness as a singer-songwriter. Story telling songs that pull you in with his vocal mastery. Great harmonies wrapped up in an extraordinary sense of melody. We all like comparisions so here we go: Think early Squeeze on a more acoustic tip or Neil Finn's solo work with just enough soul to keep the Paul Weller fans happy. Top notch!

"Anywhere" made my 9-months pregnant wife hop out of the
bathtub and dance naked in the kitchen! I am very impressed with Michael's songwriting and the diversity of
the material on his disc. From the jazzy "Out to
Galaxy" to the heavier tunes and acoustic folksy
numbers, this is a disc that keeps me interested. The
production is also first rate -unlike many first
releases, it doesn't sound at all like a low-budget
independent cd, yet it is not overdone, and still
retains a real personal and unique feel. A real gem for anyone's music collection.
