Album Notes

"Talk About Trouble" is the debut release from acoustic blues artist Aric Riley. The CD features heart-felt originals and unique arrangements of traditional blues songs from the likes of Mississippi John Hurt, Mance Lipscomb, and Robert Petway.

The album was produced by renowned Blues artist and producer Terry Robb - well known for his production on twelve John Fahey records. This recording beautifully captures the intricacy and passion of Aric's solo finger-style guitar playing and singing.

In addition to the solo efforts on the album, Aric teams up with Mr. Robb (bottleneck guitar) and Katey Angel (bass) for a blistering rendition of Lightnin' Hopkins "Feel So Bad". Aric and Terry team up again for a tribute to Blues great Jimmy Rogers in "You're The One".

"...you have the recipe for a truly enrapturing guitar artist destined to become one of the city's acoustic blues elite." - Blues Notes (Portland, Oregon)

Relaxed Acoustic Blues
author: Pyrochlore
I really liked this one. Nice relaxed (not boring) Piedmont-MJ Hurt-styled blues with a few othe tunes as well. I really liked his small combo numbers as well. I can't imagine why this was on the $5 list, but I will buy Mr. Riley's next release at full price for sure. Recommended.

Solid acoustic blues
author: Bart
I picked up three $5 CD's from CD Baby during a sale of theirs, and this CD was the pick of the litter hands down. Fans of old acoustic blues are going to enjoy this, especially those fond of the fingerpicking brand of old country blues (aka Mississippi John Hurt who Aric covers on this album). Most of the songs he does are covers, but a few are his own. Sweet Little Rider being his best original. Solid stuff.
