Album Notes

Ariel is a vocalist and songwriter who performs on a variety of instruments including Celtic harp, piano and guitar. The style of her music ranges from traditional Celtic, folk, classical, new age and melodic rock.

Her debut album 'Flower Story' is a beautiful collection of original and Celtic influenced music with soaring vocals and haunting melodies. There are beautiful traditional songs, such as the timeless 'She Moved Through the Fair', the historic piece 'The World Turned Upside Down' and a harp tune by the legendary Irish harper Turlough O' Carolan.
However, some of the most wonderful gems here are Ariel's own musical works including the dreamy love song 'You Are the Star', the inspirational 'Marilyn's Song' and 'Generation of Two', written for two little sisters who count themselves among Ariel's best fans.

Beautifully produced by Nick Pagan, founder of the popular Atlanta-based world band 'The Changelings',
'Flower Story' is a perfect introduction to Ariel's lovely music.
These songs are both ancient in the tradition of storytellers and freshly made for our times.

REVIEWS

The best CD I've bought in more than a year.
author: Kayla
I wish I could give this CD more than 5 stars - It easily deserves 6+. The style and Instruments vary, but each and every song has the sort of grace and beauty only found visually in highly trained ballerinas. Flower Story has converted several friends into Celtic music fiends. Personally, I think Ariel's version of 'She Moved Through The Fair' is the prettiest song I've ever heard.

You are the Star, for which my Evening Waits...
author: Alex Rossiter
They say the essence of beauty is a thing that cannot be quantified or captured in any form, but with the arrival of the exceptionally talented Ariel Tebben (nee Williams), that quotation may be a thing of the past. This is Ariel at her most vulnerable; perhaps not overly confident in her songwriting abilities yet, but nevertheless prepared to see where the stars will take her on her journey for perfection in music. Her delicate, articulate fingerwork -- on guitar, Celtic harp and piano alike -- gives a luminance to her voice that few others can hope to achieve in their lifetimes. Producer Nick Pagan induces a world where Ariel's music can thrive and grow, though I must admit that some of his production touches strike me as unusual. This album is a delight for the senses, and a refreshing change from the bland pop idol music of today. Highly recommended. ****/5

Hauntingly beautiful as well as ethereal... to say the least.
author: Joli Darling
Ariel has a musical gifting that is exceedingly rare & it comes through in each & every song she plays and/or sings. I was particularly impressed by the Moody Blues instrumental backdrop of Marylin's Song with Ariel's angelic voice in the foreground... not to mention the timeless classic She Moved Through the Fair. I have heard many artists do covers on this song but Ariel's interpretation either altogether outdoes or surely equals that of Sinead O'Connor, Charlotte Church & Sara Brightman. Each & every album of Ariel's is a bonafide work of art.

A beautiful, flowing album of traditional and original music
author: Dan Liss of Oracle 2000, Atlanta, GA
This album flows beautifully and when it was done playing I wanted to play it again. Among the 10 songs my favorites are O'Carolan's Ramble to Cashel, a fine rendition of the classic She Moved Through the Fair, Marilyn's Song and Generation of Two. These are tunes that linger in the memory and keep coming froward asking to be sung over and over.
