Ari Marsh is a California-bred musician, artist, yogi, and surfer, whose musical style blends 1960's acoustic folk with world devotional chants in the tradition of bhakti yoga and kirtan. Bhakti yoga is the yoga of devotion, and kirtan is the practice of chanting. Ari's music celebrates our connection to one another, to all beings, to nature, the ocean, and infinite space, while deeply honoring the Divine Presence which permeates all things. Ari's cause is PEACE, and through his music and chanting he strives to bring others into that deep state of divine peace and bliss, which is oneness, and inherently honors the life in all beings. Musically, Ari's influences stretch from John Lennon and George Harrison, to Krishna Das, Bob Marley, and Pete Seeger. Ari continues to play music, sing, and facilitate kirtan (group devotional chanting) in yoga studios, coffee houses, and living rooms throughout both the West and East coasts of the U.S., but primarily in coastal Southern California. He has been playing guitar for more than 20 years, and has been part of the kirtan scene since the mid-1990's. He has traveled extensively all over the world, quite often with his guitar, and has shared his music with folks throughout Europe, Asia, India, and South America. "Devotee of Love: Songs & Chants" is Ari's first CD. A musical maestro, he not only did all the instrumentation, percussion, and vocals, but he recorded, mixed, mastered, and produced the entire CD. "Jai Ma Love Chant (Live)" is his newest single and has become a Southern California favorite. Recorded live in Encinitas, California, it captures the spirit, energy, and devotion of bhakti yoga and community kirtan. It's all about the LOVE. One of Ari's most central beliefs is: We are all ONE FAMILY. Peace through Music. Blessings!

Ari Marsh has put out an excellent album. I really like what I would call a classic California surf vibe with an extensive world beat. His harmonies and thoughtful lyrics have saved me more than once in commuter traffic. This Cd is a necessity for anyone in the mood for or in the need of an attitude adjustment toward the more important things in life. Stoked. Thanks.
