Accordionist,composer & arranger,Nick Ariondo, a recipient
of many awards and honors, became the first American to be awarded Italy's Ancona Prize for his 'Kalamatiano for Viola and Free-Bass Accordion' (Acco-Music Publishing). Nick has currently received nineteen ASCAP awards from the American Society of Composers, Authors & Publishers for his original compositions and arrangements, integrating the accordion into diverse styles and idioms from classical to world-ethnic, jazz-improv to modern contemporary.

The Artistry of Nick Ariondo has been presented on radio, cable television and on KCET's Classic Arts Showcase. Conductor Zubin Mehta called Nick...."a brilliant success!" and Lukas Foss writes..."I am impressed by your music and by your playing: so precise, so powerful!" Critics refer to his virtuosity as "the Yehudi Menuhin of the accordion" and the Los Angeles Times says..."the irrepressible avant-garde accordionist!"...."infinitely expressive and technically dazzling!"...."a force to be reckoned with!" Nick performs for private and corporate events, he records for television & film soundracks, and appears in solo concert recitals, guest appearances with symphony orchestras, and in chamber music concerts with various artists.

Ariondo's very first CD release entitled TRILUCENCE, highlights Nick's music, centering around his accordion artistry and featuring clarinetist Larry Hughes with violin and piano, including an electrifying performance of Ross Whitney's "Trilucences" composed for Nick Ariondo. REVIEWS

5 stars - no amount of stars can praise this CD enough! Quality of sound is excellent. Musicianship is outstanding, and Nick Ariondo's work on the accordion should once again put to shame those with little respect for the instrument.
