Accordionist,composer & arranger,Nick Ariondo, a recipient
of many awards and honors, became the first American to be awarded Italy's Ancona Prize for his 'Kalamatiano for Viola and Free-Bass Accordion' (Acco-Music Publishing). Nick has currently received nineteen ASCAP awards from the American Society of Composers, Authors & Publishers for his original compositions and arrangements, integrating the accordion into diverse styles and idioms from classical to world-ethnic, jazz-improv to modern contemporary.

The Artistry of Nick Ariondo has been presented on radio, cable television and on KCET's Classic Arts Showcase. Conductor Zubin Mehta called Nick...."a brilliant success!" and Lukas Foss writes..."I am impressed by your music and by your playing: so precise, so powerful!" Critics refer to his virtuosity as "the Yehudi Menuhin of the accordion" and the Los Angeles Times says..."the irrepressible avant-garde accordionist!"...."infinitely expressive and technically dazzling!"...."a force to be reckoned with!" Nick performs for private and corporate events, he records for television & film soundracks, and appears in solo concert recitals, guest appearances with symphony orchestras, and in chamber music concerts with various artists.
