AristeiA has the power to exalt, or to destroy, wanting only the former, but unafraid to invoke the latter if the comes. AristeiA is so quiet sometimes they forget to breathe. They are so damn noisy, an earthquake couldn’t get their attention. Post-rock.

With two releases in under a year AristeiA is a prolific force of post- rock nature. The EP titled “a light that plugs into the sun” and the full length debut album “You give me strength, you give me patience!” were both met with stellar reviews.
Childhood friends and songwriting collaborators Adam Steinfink and Ben Meyercord moved to Portland, Oregon from Dallas, Texas. In November 2005, they joined forces with guitarist Brandon Gordon and drummer Vincent Covarrubias.
AristeiA is influenced by Explosions in they Sky, Queen, Radiohead and Mogwai. They have been compared to Slowdive and Yume Bitsu.
Their live shows are high energy and strangely, beautifully danceable.

Dreamy Mood
author: Dennis Lucas
"Meddle"-era Pink Floyd, with the band stretching out on the 11+ minutes 'Baby Cart Into Hades'. Buy it, put it on, switch off the lights and be taken away. Simple. At the very least, by the time the CD comes to a close you'll be. . .well, rested.

Great soundscapes
author: Carlo Giordano
This album is a solid collection of great, dynamic post-rock. A good collection of moods - blissful, solemn, sad and hopeful. It was also part inspiration for our band's upcoming album (www.myspace.com/wakethisday), for which I am grateful. It would be great to see Aristeia become a big name.

Powerful post-rock
author: James Wilks
This is a great post-rock album for fans of bands like Explosions In The Sky. Track 1 is my favorite song. Only two tracks contain vocals, and I think the singer sounds a bit like Ben Gibbard from Death Cab For Cutie at times. The songs are very emotional and epic, and the album is interspersed with three shorter lullabies which add to the effect. Aristeia is definitely an up-and-coming band in the post-rock scene.
