Album Notes

MICHAEL ARKK is one of REGGAE’S unique voices.
His Album ‘EASIER SAID’ is a testament to this fact.

ARKK was born in Clarendon Jamaica. The 3rd of his parents 12 children. His influences are Gospel and Roots Reggae. After the Channels of Praise a dynamic gospel band that ARKK led for 10 years ended in 2001. He concentrated on putting together this Album, which is being said by many to be one of the best Reggae Albums to be released for the past 20 years. You can still hear elements of his early Gospel influence coming through on some of the tracks on this Album. The sincerity of his music transports you to a place of freedom where you can let your emotions run freely.
This album is an introduction to pure Roots Reggae and one that will truly draw you into this wonderful style of music.

Nuff Respect to Michael and his group for the exceptional CD. I met Michael through Myspace and I enjoy the first song that I heard "I apologize" After purchasing the CD I have grown to love the entire ting. It's the real raggae beat with the inspirational lyrics that Jah created us to listen to. I wish Micheal peace & love as he continues to allow his Jah given talents to flow. Hey.....I love this CD what can I say? One love

Avis Business Services Promoting: Michael Arkk’s Album, Easier Said. Michael Arkk was raised in Jamaica. He currently resides in the UK. Michael’s CD, "Easier Said," is a pure reflection of his mind, heart, and soul. His inspirational CD is one that I listen to continuously. Although I enjoy all of the songs, my favorites are "No Dream," "It Is Sweet To Know," "Un-Nu-Fi Learn," and "Tough." I look forward to seeing Michael perform in the US hopefully soon. Michael is also a poet. "Congregation" is his first anthology of poems. I came across Michael Arkk through MySpace, and what a find! As soon as I heard the first few tracks of this album I knew I was onto something good that I would be playing a lot - great straightforward old school reggae with an effortless uplifting vibe and not one jarring or discordant note throughout. At times the grooves are reminiscent of Burning Spear or Toots and the Maytals, and Michael's voice is varied and rich, in the upper register particularly reminding me of Johnny Nash in its soulful purity It's definitely an album to play on a hot summer's weekend or to lift yourself up from winter blues - sunny, euphoric and soulful.
