Album Notes

A must-hear.

This CD delivers more substance in 5 tracks than most full-length CDs.

Arlen combines a hauntingly rich voice with first-rate songwriting.

CD runs the gammut from heavily groove-oriented, singable pop to strikingly stark ballads performed by Arlen on the piano.

Superior recording

This is about as good as it gets for those who love a great voice and beautiful piano arrangements. All songs are strong with a little for everyone. Really outstanding are Backdoor Tears (folksy), Lost Horizon (pop), and So Needing Me (ballad). It is now my favorite CD!

Excellent disc! Chris' melodies are sweet, and they cling onto you. Great singing, great playing, etc. Check out "So Needing Me" - it's a true beauty. [This message has been edited by Alex Lacamoire (edited July 19, 1999).]

Chris has a great voice, very calming, very strong...with strong messages. Her beats are totally uplifting, and the perfect accompaniment to rolling down your window, blasting the radio, feeling the wind in your hair....there's just that feeling in it.

Chris is a marvelous live player, and her essence is captured on blue felt sky. My favorite is "Beautiful Woman's Life," where Chris' beautiful voice and piano playing let you hear what a fine talent she is.
