Album Notes

Songwriter singer, Armando Rene, native of Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, self produces, “Alma Poeta”, a wonderful awakening for Latin American music around the globe. A delightful fusion of Latin lyrics and melodies combined with Brazilian arrangements and exceptional musical interpretation. At first the difference of languages was a small barrier in the collaboration process, but sentiments prevailed and rhythms from both countries, Puerto Rico and Brazil, combined to form the unique mix of musical compositions that tastefully differ from the existing norm for Latin music worldwide. With special performances by Eduardo Duda of DK3 on vocals, Fabio Maus on bass, Volnei Martins on guitars and Ranier Paulon on percussion, the Brazilians revolutionize the sound for a new generation as well as for the liking of a more mature audience. Songs like, “El Viento Viro” and “La Carta” are performed in both Portuguese and Spanish bridging the two languages and uniting both cultures musically. “Alma Poeta”, considered one of Armando Rene’s best vocal performances and poetic compilations to date, a tasteful array of eight songs that can be categorized as classy, romantic retro Latino. Dedicated to his parents, Sabas and Maria, Bleu and his two brothers, Robert and Gene All songs recorded in Florinapolis, Brazil. Copyright 2005 Armando Rene.
