Album Notes

After leaving his keyboard position with The Fast in 1978 to persue his song writing & lead vocal talents, Armand Zone asked Gary Valentine of Blondie to play guitar on his first solo recording "Shotgun" and shortly after formed Ozone with Tedd Dolhon on drums, Tommy Moonie on bass & Jon Pilkington on guitar. Max's Kansas City managed the band and released the first Ozone single on their "Max's Records" label alongside The Heartbreakers & The Troggs "Live At Max's" LPs. Featured here are singles and EPs releases between '79 & '84 and some bonus studio recording out takes.

After continuing on with The Fast, brothers Miki Zone & Paul Zone went on to form Man 2 Man and Armand's lead vocal helped the Man 2 Man/Zone Bros 80s remake of Sylvester's "Do Ya Wanna Funk" become a club charting hit in the UK & Germany.

note: A sample of Armand's vocal scream taken from the top of "Do Ya Wanna Funk (UK mix)" can be heard at the beginning of the TV show "Queer Eye For The Straight Guy".
